Wash That Gray Right Out of Your Hair with Coffee!

Some things just do not seem to work with your hair irrespective of how good or expensive they are. Take for instance hair color - the best of the best are out there but some hair types just knot up into a rope upon application irrespective of the claims of non-ammonia, extra conditioning, gentle and long lasting color. For years, I avoided coloring my hair with a chemical hair dye but after a point I got fed up of the natural dye options I had been using because of the frequency of application. Boy, would I regret that decision!

Fine, I had to apply the natural dye almost after every ten washes but at least I had sufficient hair on my head and I did not get a cut on my hand after touching the now razor sharp hair! My apprehension was not misplaced. I restored my faith back into Mother Nature’s remedies for camouflaging my menacing gray strands. Now, it was time to test the effectiveness of coffee. No, not to drink but to color my hair with!

Yes, take about 4 cups of dark brown coffee preferably filtered not instant. Cool it so it does not scald your scalp. Place it in a washable tub which you sink your head into. Comb out the knots in your hair with a hairbrush before this procedure to ensure even absorption. Make sure you do not have any thing around you which you do not want permanently stained from sprinkles of coffee.

Pour a mug over your already shampooed hair and let your hair absorb the coffee. Wait for a minute then gently squeeze out the excess water. Keep reusing the coffee over and over again till you have done this procedure about fifteen times. Let your hair get stained with the coffee by keeping the concoction on for 15 minutes. Finally rinse it out with beer or apple cider to seal the color. Even lukewarm water is workable.

Don’t just drink your coffee, let your hair soak it up too! And for those of you who have lost their hair altogether, there is always Hair Transplant London!
